RoomWithAView Alpha 0.3 - New Environments, Updated Menus, and Bug Fixes

A Handful of new updates this week.

Most noticeable is a new screen that shows up on the desktop when starting the game. This allows you to chose to disable to desktop mirroring of the game.

This solves the issue where minimizing the game pauses it in the headset. I expect it will be the mode most people use in normal play.

The original mode where the display is mirrored onto the desktop is also available, and is useful to capture screenshots and video of the game.

The screen isn't going to win any design competitions, but it's functional.

Also updated this week are the object menus. These now have text and use GUI responsive buttons instead of the previous color coded buttons that I assume no one other than myself understood what they meant.

These are essentially finished in functionality, and should be usable and easily expandable throughout the rest of development.

Lastly a few smaller updates.

A bug in loading previously made rooms on game startup has been fixed.

The size of screens in full screen mode can now be increased/decreased by tapping up or down on the touch pad.

I added a few new environments and removed the mountainside environment that had been previously included. It looked nice, but the fact that it wasn't quite a 360 panorama bugged me.

The TV object now works as it should. Unfortunately the video player in Godot only supports .ogv and .webm files, but it is useful in displaying higher resolution content at a higher FPS than the same content in the desktop viewer.

Desktop viewer stability has increased. I didn't actively work on this item this week. However with the game running on "Hidden" mode and not reflecting the display onto the desktop the desktop viewer seems both faster and more stable. Setting my desktop resolution to 720p I was seeing full speed on video content and used it for about an hour without hitting any crashes or hang ups. This makes me a lot more confident in expanding the functionality of this item. Somewhere on the timeline is a virtual arcade stick setup for playing desktop/emulator games in VR.

The Audio Player item has been removed from the inventory. It just wasn't working correctly in the exported game. I'll get around to fixing it and re-add it. Audio can be played from the desktop viewer as a workaround in the mean time.

Next up are some updates to furniture placement to make that a bit more intuitive. Implementation of a load your own environment feature. Some more GUI updates. And possibly some additional camera features.

I think I'm starting to settle into a one update a week schedule. I may have to miss a week here or there, and they might not always be this large, but that seems sustainable at the moment.

Also a huge thanks to everyone who's checked out the game. It's awesome to see people using it, even in it's alpha state.
