Room With A View is a VR room builder game.

Recreate your physical room in VR. Place animated posters on the wall, lay on your couch, interact with your computer desktop in the palm of your hand or on a 70 inch screen.

Use elevators to make a floor for digital painting, another for not exercising in, a third for your home cinema! Change your environment from a selection of dynamic places, maybe overlooking a beach boardwalk, or a private forest, or outerspace.

Full desktop interaction is supported; why recreate applications for VR when there's already a giant eco system of infinitely better applications out there. Open Gimp or Krita to use a VR screen as a touch sensitive canvas. Watch your favorite videos with VLC or youtube.

Room With A View aims to be a hub for VR experiences, akin to Steam's VR home, but matching your real world space. Listen to music or audio books and use your desktop. When you put something on a counter, it's your real counter. The couch is your actual couch, and you can customize it's look however you want.

Improve, customize, and express yourself through your surroundings for free, through software.

Known issues:

This is alpha level software and there are still some issues. Expect this list to grow and shrink throughout development.

Desktop Viewer Slow Refresh Speed: I've done a lot of work to speed this up, but there's still some areas of improvement. Best way to speed up the desktop viewer is to set the resolution lower on your monitors. With a Nvidia GTX 1080 I get pretty decent video speed between 720 and 1080p. This also helps with visibility as higher resolutions produce hard to read text in the headset.

Looking forward to this, I love the idea! It looks like a smoother experience than Steam's home app too
